A letter from Majorr
Choosetarian began the way most quiet things do — at a kitchen counter, with a jar of sea moss soaking overnight and a pot of elderberries on a slow simmer.
I wanted nourishment that felt like it came from somewhere. Food and drink that asked something gentle of me — to slow down, to pour with care, to sit for the cup of tea instead of carrying it from one task to the next.
This is plant-led food, herbs, and rituals — not a movement, not a course. Just small things, made well.
Alongside the kitchen, I keep a parallel practice in sound and stillness — music, sound healing, and breath as part of the same ritual of slowing down. Food feeds the body; sound moves what the body holds. They belong together.

The Choosetarian story
Choosetarian was founded by Majorr Smith — a Certified African Holistic Health Coach, herbalist, and sound healer who believes the smallest, most ordinary choices are the seeds of generational change.
The name itself is a quiet invitation: to choose. To choose quality over shortcut. To choose nourishment over noise. To choose a healthier relationship with your body, and the people you love.
What began as a personal practice — soaking sea moss, simmering elderberries, steeping herbs — became a community. A growing circle of people choosing ancestral wisdom and modern wellness in the same breath.
The work draws on a lineage of African herbalism and ancestral plant practice — the same tradition that holds sea moss, elderberry, and alkaline botanicals as everyday medicine. We honor that lineage in plain words: this is food and herbs the way our grandmothers' grandmothers understood them.
Planting seeds of health and raising the vibrations of human consciousness through holistic healing and preventative living.
